Cumbria Karate Championships

This always proves to be one of the most popular comps amongs our regular competitors and supporters as it involves a nite in carlise and a few drinks in order for us to bond as a squad.

There was only 2 cars in the convoy for the long journey up to carlisle on the saturday afternoon. Again, the sheffield utd fans decided not to meet and travel up with us. Maybe this was because Tony ( Jessicas dad) didnt want to MIRROR his actions of being late at the meeting place for the last comp in Sunderland. Pic below shows all competitors posing in their Sukoshi traksuits. What a team!!

Im sure, everyone who was there will agree, Shaun's first fight in his first ever comp was the one not to be missed. Iv been involved in Karate for nearly 25 years and i have never EVER seen a fighter quite like the person you fought Shaun. The pic below shows this fight, with Shaun's opponent taking up the immovable stance!!!!!!

As always, an exellent effort by all. Would also like to mention how well behaved everyone was. Even Dawn!!!!! Next Stop ponds Forge guys. Not so far away so maybe Tony wont have any problems finding the toilet this time lol. Pic below shows Sarah Henchley with her Gold medal.
